Sunday In-Person Service Plan (7/12/20)

Brian Sullivan   -

We look forward to the next phase of CrossPointe Jupiter in light of the implications of Covid-19. We appreciate your engagement and patience as we seek to function as church in a safe way. As Larry Anderson said while discussing next steps, “You don’t run through a dark room”. With that, we are seeking to have a posture of safety, flexibility and grace as a community.

We have always highly valued gathering weekly as a church (Acts 2:42-47; Hebrews 10:24-25). In light of Covid-19, we have sought to comply with state recommendations, work with school guidelines and provide the safest environment possible for our community. With the state opening up a few weeks ago, and Jupiter Christian School giving the green light on using the facility, we have created a plan for the safest environment for us to gather. We understand that we will never be 100% safe from contracting the virus, but we believe that our current plan is a good next step to gather in a way that God calls us to as a church.

Here are the current plans for the next phase of our Sunday gathering moving forward. We will continue to adapt and make any necessary changes. We know it is not safe for high-risk people to gather in-person due to health concerns. With that, we will continue to live-stream our services to allow for online engagement and for others to explore CrossPointe.

Plan – July 12th will be Phase 1 of our in-person Sunday gatherings.

  • We will utilize the Jupiter Christian Outdoor Pavilion (semi-enclosed but open air)
  • 9:00am service time (for the service to be as cool as possible)
  • We will have a family style service (no CPKids initially)
  • We will offer a section of picnic tables for families with kids to sit if desired
  • We will have social distanced seating, hand sanitizer and “no-touch” entrance to minimize touching surfaces
  • You are encouraged to sit with your family in sections
  • We ask that participants wear a face mask (per Palm Beach emergency order number 12)
  • We will not have coffee/pastries
  • We will have ushers helping with direction and seating
  • All areas will be cleaned and sanitized before and after the service
  • We will keep the service to a limited time frame (around 45 minutes)

Your Responsibilities

  • Bring and wear a mask (we will have some to provide if you don’t have one / forget yours)
  • Keep social distance of 6 ft during your time at church
  • Bring activities for your kids if you feel it will be helpful
  • Utilize the hand sanitizing station when you enter and leave church
  • Only attend if you are healthy and do not have a fever or other symptoms of the coronavirus

Again, we will continue to offer our on-line livestream for those who do not feel comfortable or who should not gather in person due to health concerns. Please direct any questions to Pastor Brian at brian@cpjupiter.com.

We love you and look forward to God’s continued work in and through CrossPointe Jupiter.
