Preparing for Worship_8/3/25
Join us for our Student Sunday & as we continue our 3 week series on Living Generously through lives of contribution. We will look at Luke 12:13-21 & cultivating a heart of contribution – being rich toward God – in the midst of a culture of consumption:
Jesus detects a covetous desire behind the man’s request for a settlement of the inheritance, and he warns that “life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.” Few sayings of Jesus are more relevant to the consumer mentality of the modern world than this statement, for life cannot be measured or judged by the amount of stuff we own, amass, or win. – Pillar New Testament Commentary
STUDENT SUNDAY: We are also looking forward to our first Student Sunday of the new year. This is a Sunday where our students serve, help lead and participate in the whole service. If you have a student in middle or high school who is interested in serving, email brian@cpjupiter.com
Take a minute to prepare for worship through reading the passage and listenting to the songs we will sing:
