Preparing for Worship: 9/20/26

Last week we saw Jesus preparing his followers for rejection, this week we will see a wider "reception".  While some will "not welcome" them, we see Jesus work through this wider group of 72 to bring about his kingdom and the joy it brings: The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.

Although this passage is descriptive vs. prescriptive (a particular time & place in the unfolding plan of God) .. there are things we are called to learn & take from the account about our role as followers of Jesus as we seek to play our part in his plans and purposes for the world.
