We believe children are a gift from God and while the primary responsibility for spiritual upbringing is for parents (Deut. 4:9, 6:7, 11:19; Psalm 78:1-8; Ephesians 6:1-4), we believe the church community is to equip and assist parents in raising kids to love Jesus. For the same reason that Jesus gave his attention to kids, we believe kids grow best when nurtured by loving parents, mentors and teachers.

CrossPointe KIDS is not just about information, but transformation. We will not only teach Bible stories, but we will teach the kids how Jesus is the hero of every Bible story. It’s all about Jesus. In fact, what he hope for the adults, is the same for our kids – we want them to be pointed to Jesus. We are not interested in simply modifying a kids’ behavior, we’re after a transformation of their hearts. A changed heart will result in Godly character and choices.

Program Overview

The children of CrossPointe have the opportunity to attend their classes on Sundays at the same time their parents attend service. Starting at age 3 the kids go through a gospel-centered curriculum called, The Gospel Project.

Our classroom sizes are based on a volunteer to child ratio to ensure the safest environment to care for our Kids. The classrooms are split into the following groups based on age:
  • Pre-school (ages 1-4)
  • Elementary (grades K-5)

CrossPointe Students

The mission of CrossPointe is to point our community to Jesus. A community that we are thankful for and that is vital to our mission are middle and high school students. We have been developing as a church to continue to invest in students and point them to Jesus so they might believe, belong & become.

Our original “Student Sunday” is expanding and we are excited for this next season. We will have a 4 week rotation on Sunday mornings for students (grades 5-12) to engage:

1st Sunday of the Month: Student Serving Weekend

The first Saturday of the month students are encouraged to serve at The Edna Runner Center from 9:00-11:00am. On Sunday, Students will serve in areas of set-up, CPKids, hospitality, etc. They will also participate in and help lead the service. Students will be in the entire service as we seek to help them transition from CPKids to engaging in the entire service.

2nd & 3rd Sunday’s: Middle/High School Classes during the sermon

We will have leaders for a class which will cover what is being taught in our current sermon series. This will function much like a community group where students will go through a passage and have space to learn to study the scriptures, ask questions and connect with others.

4th Sunday: Fun outing after the service

We value FUN and it is a strength of CrossPointe Kids & Students. We love that kids love to come to CrossPointe to play before and after the service and see one another. The outings will be intentional time to hang out, have fun and connect with one another and leaders.
